The re-established philanthropic Kintyre Club, based at the beautifullyrestored Ugadale Hotel at Machrihanish, is seeking applications for grants from its next round of donations.
The Club’s primary goal is to follow in the charitable tradition of the original Kintyre Club, which was in existence from 1825 until 1981. Accordingly, all members’ subsubscriptions are used to fund worthy causes in the Kintyre area.
All charities and others in need are invited to apply for a donation from The Kintyre Club. Priority is given to organizations:
(a) recognized by the Office of the Scottish Charity Regulator and/or
(b) benefiting children in the Kintyre Peninsula.
Applications will considered by the Directors at their next scheduled meeting, due to take place in March. This time the club is particularly looking for organisations or groups of people who are interested in holding events or functions.

To be considered for the next scheduled round of donations, all applications must be received by 28 February 2014.
Open day at the Kintyre Club – 22nd February
This Saturday, 22nd February, from 12.00 to 15.00, the Kintyre Club is hosting an Open Day at the Harbourview Grille in The Royal Hotel, on the waterfront at Campbeltown. Tea, coffee and cakes will be served.
Everyone is welcome to join the club. Membership provides a number of benefits and all dues – as in the information above – are used to benefit worthy causes in the Kintyre Region.
Everyone who signs up for a new or renewal membership by 1st March [including those who've already joined or renewed] will be entered into a prize draw to WIN Free Monthly Three-Course Dinners for a Year with Wine at The Kintyre Club.
